The board of MEC Resources has been selected to provide a balance between technical expertise and providing access to capital while nurturing relationships across key target markets.

Mr David Breeze

Managing Director

Mr Breeze is a Corporate Finance Specialist with extensive experience in the stockbroking industry and capital markets. He has been a corporate consultant to Daiwa Securities and held executive and director positions in the stockbroking industry. Mr Breeze has a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors of Australia.

He has been published in the Journal of Securities Institute of Australia and has also acted as an Independent Expert under the Corporations Act. He has worked on the structuring, capital raising and public listing of over 70 companies involving in excess of $300m. These capital raisings covered a diverse range of areas including oil and gas, gold, food, manufacturing and technology. Mr Breeze was a founding Director of MEC Resources Ltd.

Mr Andrew Jones

Non-Executive Director

Andrew is an eAndrew studied Commerce from Curtin University and also holds a Diploma in Financial Services from Finsia.

Andrew primarily deals with ASX resources companies and is focused on, not only providing access to a wide range of capital markets, including equity and debt, but also the framework to facilitate the next phase of a company’s growth. Andrew has also worked with various private companies, structuring their business to help them set up for an ASX listing whether that is through a reverse takeover or new IPO listing.

Mr Anthony (Tony) Huston

Non-Executive Director

Mr Huston has been involved in the engineering and hydrocarbon industries for over 40 years, both on and offshore exploration/development. His early career experience commenced with Fitzroy Engineering Ltd, primarily working on the development of onshore oil fields. During the 1990s Mr Huston managed JFP NZ International, a Texas-based exploration company that included a Jack Up rig operating in NZ waters.

In 1994, Mr Huston oversaw the environmental consent process required to drill a near inshore well that was drilled from “land” into the offshore basin during 1995.

In 1996, Mr Huston formed his own E&P Company to focus on re-entry of onshore wells, primarily targeting shallow pay that had been passed or ignored from previous operations. This was successful and the two plays opened 20 years ago are still in operation. Recent focus (12 years) has been to utilise new technology for enhanced resource recovery and has been demonstrated in various fields, including the US, Mexico, Oman, Italy and Turkmenistan.

Mr Peter Richards

Non-Executive Director

Peter has acted as a public company director in the financial services sector and has extensive experience in the finance and investment industries while also having an in depth knowledge of regulatory compliance. He has been a nominated Responsible Person on a number of Australian Financial Services Licences. His history includes being retained by the ASIC as a consultant on financial services industry regulatory compliance standards and he has acted for the ASIC as an expert witness. His related entity investment interests have been listed in the top twenty investors for multiple ASX listed companies and manages his own investment interests.

Mr Robert Marusco

Company Secretary

Mr Marusco has 30 years experience and competence in equity capital markets, debt advisory and operational knowledge in relation to capital raising support and facilitation, corporate management including company secretarial, governance and compliance dealing with the ASX, ASIC and other authorities for both ASX listed public and private corporations.
